Meet the Owners
Mr. Ramirez moved to Mukilteo at age 10 and has been in the restaurant business since the age of 17. His first taste of the culinary world was in May 1999 as a dishwasher at Harbor Pointe Golf Club. Within a year he became a line cook, which ignited his passion for the kitchen.
He attended Sno-Isle tech school and quickly discovered his place was in-fact in the kitchen. After graduating from Kamiak High School, he dedicated himself to cooking; working at two separate jobs as line cooks–Harbor Pointe Golf Club and the upscale Amici Bistro.
In 2004, he became Harbor Pointe Golf Club’s Sous Chef. In 2007, he became their Executive Chef.
Throughout his career Adrian has earned many awards. He was Manager of the Month 5 times. He was chosen out of 35 managers, spanning 9 properties. He also was awarded most notably fiscal manager of the year for 2014.
As one of the Red Cork Bistro’s Co-Owners, Adrian brings his wealth of knowledge and passion for the kitchen providing high quality cuisine to Mukilteo.
Adrian is also very community oriented and actively participates in local events and fundraisers when time permits.
Kelsey grew up in Bothell, and began working in the hospitality industry at 15 years old at a local café on the weekends. In high school, she took a job at another Bothell restaurant where she worked her way from a hostess, to catering server and eventually to manage catering accounts. In 2015, she went back to school to pursue a Bachelors Degree. In May 2016 she earned her degree in Hospitality and Business Management from Washington State University. In 2015, Kelsey began working a second job at Harbour Pointe Golf Course, where she met Adrian. Soon after graduating Kelsey joined Adrian and Soco and began their journey into ownership of Red Cork Bistro & Catering. While she did not grow up in Mukilteo, Kelsey is excited to maintain and build new relationships with the Mukilteo and neighboring communities.
Soco is one of the owners of the Red Cork Bistro as well as office manager at the Red Cork Bistro. For the past 12 years, she has worked at many high-end restaurants throughout Seattle. While working closely with many fantastic chefs, she learned a great deal about fine dining and how to make customers happy. She loves to watch and learn about food from her husband of 9 years, Adrian. She and Adrian are happy they have been given this opportunity with Kelsey to own and operate the Red Cork Bistro.
Meet our staff
Vanessa works Tuesday through Thursday as well as a couple of days at the Outback Steakhouse. She has worked at the Red Cork Bistro for four years under three business owners. She likes working at the Red Cork Bistro because it feels like a family and our guests are truly friends. While the Red Cork is known for their wine and fine food, not too many people know Vanessa makes a killer Margarita. So the next time you’re in you will have to try one.
Jeff, a Southern California native, moved to the Seattle Area in 1999. He enjoys traveling and has worked in many different places, such as Los Angeles, Alaska, Arizona and most recently in Chile. In addition to travelling, Jeff enjoys reading. He shares his many travels with his cat, Roky B. Jeff brings a genuine smile to the Red Cork Bistro, he looks forward to meeting our guests and sharing a laugh. In addition, he is eager to learn new bartending skills, stop by and order your favorite drink!
